Installation with sound/noise performances by Bentley Anderson, Garrett Devoe and Jay Pluck.
BENTLEY ANDERSON is a guitarist and songwriter in the Brooklyn-based band V B A, recently touring with Kurt Vile and Blonde Redhead. He has worked as archivist for Sonic Youth, and live sound engineer for Lee Ranaldo and Thurston Moore. He continues to live and thrash in New York City.
GARRETT DEVOE performs and records under the name Pure Horsehair by means of vintage or outdated equipment, centered around acoustic guitar and vocals. Born in Fort Huachuca, AZ and raised in Mechanicville, NY, he was influenced and confounded early on by a found 8track copy of White Light/White Heat and a free outdoor John Prine performance. He eventually landed in Brooklyn, NY, where he currently resides and plays.
JAY PLUCK is an artist in New York City. His band is George Sand and he plays keys with Ed Askew.
MIKE SCHREIBER graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in painting and shortly thereafter fled Baltimore for NYC. After a stint in Chelsea as a registrar, and post 2008 crash, he enrolled at RISD where he earned his MFA in painting in 2011. He works in Brooklyn and is co-founder and curator at GCA.
